Bernie Sanders dropped out of the 2020 presidential race, setting up a general election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The senator did not explicitly endorse Biden, saying he will continue to amass delegates to influence the Democratic Party platform, then work with his former rival to defeat Trump.
After early triumphs in the Democratic primary, the independent from Vermont failed to pull away from Biden as a wide field dwindled.
